What does your jewelry say about you?
If you aren’t sure, think about these questions…
Do you enjoy creating your own unique style rather following trends?
Do you cherish the exclusivity of artisan crafted jewelry?
Do you love having jewelry that you only you can possess?
You weren’t mass produced. You are one of a kind. There is not now, nor will there ever be another person just like you. Embrace, cherish and express that! Your personality has different facets, just like a gem. There will be time to whisper and times to shout. Don’t let anyone else decide for you.
“I have come to realize making yourself happy is most important. Never be ashamed of how you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion you want, and do what makes you happy. That’s my life motto.”— Demi Lovato
There is a poem written by Jenny Joseph that begins “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn’t go…” When I first read that I thought “why wait?”. Do it now. Then I read the rest and this is how it ends
“But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me
are not too shocked and surprised,
When suddenly I am old
and start to wear purple!”
My passion is creating jewelry for women like Jenny. Who may not always follow the rules and who are bold, confident and revel in a little eccentricity among the traditional.
So then, how did this all begin?
I began making beaded jewelry ion 2007 and continued working with beads & gems, learning every technique and stitch I could get my hands on and then breaking the rules to create my designs. This continued for 8 years while I enjoyed seeing comments such as these from my customers.
“This bracelet has exceeded my expectations!!! Dianne made this (special order) bracelet even though I'm sure this is one of the busiest times of the year for her studio. This is one of the designs Dianne created and & it's simply stunning. Dianne is responsive and very accommodating...I would highly recommend.” Regards, Patricia A.
“This item is spectacular. I am in awe of this artist's ability with beads. It arrived quickly in a grand manner with an extra gift. Absolutely love the whole transaction! “Donna L.
Dianne, The necklace is so beautiful, I love it. Thanks for the lovely earrings. It was a pleasure doing business with you! The whole transaction was perfect! Thanks so much! Ronilyn
I have been published several times in Bead and Button magazine, they purchased 2 of my patterns and my work was included in Best of Bead and Button hardcover book.
For the last couple of years I was beading, I had this nagging feeling that I wanted to work with metals. It wouldn’t leave me alone so I started reading, researching, asking questions and finally purchased some copper, a few hammers and other hand tools for metalwork. The spark was ignited and I haven’t stopped since.
My passion is being in my shop and creating something unique and interesting that only one special woman will yearn to possess….is it you?
If you want to see new designs and hear special news before anyone else, sign up on my email list. I plan on about 6 emails a year so you’ll want to add Dianne@divelladesigns.com to your email address book so you don’t miss them.
Wait, about the name. When I was thinking about a name back in 2007, my twin granddaughters were sweet little 4 year olds. Their names Are Diva and Ella…hence Divella!
One more thing about me…I am an animal nutcase! You can see my two pooches below. You may notice the Enameled Heart Collection. When you purchase one of these items, $3.00 from each purchase goes to an animal charity…more info in my Blog.
